this is great. im going to try to build one to use with my midi foot controller using CC messages. hardest part seems to be how to properly build an enclosure for this. maybe eventually ill build a through hole board and to properly mount everything,

You can also try to do like Neil Young and use a few servos to twist the amp pots. Midi presets for a tube amp

What about building MIDI control into an amp? I'm guessing digipots won't be robust enough to sub in for pots in an amp, but what about maybe a vactrol?
That's Great Dave, Just a thought.. You could get the system to work that 3 switch Fender unit by making sure all switches are of then wiring the midi controlled relays across each of the 3 switches inside the foot pedal itself.
Nice. I used to use a Behringer fcb1010 to do this. The manual didn't explain it well but it had two footswitch jacks (TS) but you could put a trs into jack 1 and control two things on one amp as well as all the midi stuff.
